IMAGINE A CONTAINER
The idea of the shipping container was conceived by a local from North Carolina whose saw that cargo could remain on trucks and truck containers could later be transferred on ships rather than moving cargo piece by piece from truck to ship. This innovation significantly improved the logistical process by reducing time and expenses. However, as decades passed by, the introduction of the RACKBOX has made the standardized freight containers look like a box full of problems.
The RACKBOX is designed and manufactured by the BASSTECH ENGINEERING GROUP as a Specialized Store and Transport Technology. The RACKBOX is a unique, modular and fully deployable functioning warehouse which allows users to mobilize quickly and efficiently, and maximize storage utilization in deployable containers. The RACKBOX helps combine maximum resources of personnel and equipment to facilitate mobilization, and provides the highest level of organization and security of mobilized assets in various ways.
Unlike the traditional container that has a one point access, the RACKBOX has full side opening on two sides. This allows for easy access to all sections of the RACKBOX to maximize storage capacity and retrieval of goods. There are additional advantages with this feature such as maximum space utilization. Space savings can allow for higher asset density per container with the potential to easily add more when needed, which in turn reduces the need for further containers.
In the RACKBOX, there are pallets for payloads which are secured during transit, thereby eliminating the danger of falling payloads on opening the doors, which is highly possible in traditional containers.
The introduction of the traditional container was definitely a marvel for its era. Now, the spotlight belongs to the RACKBOX that has proven to have its many pros over the freight container. Its application has been seen primarily in armies around the world due to its time saving feature but could be seen in many other operations within the next few years.
